Ecology of Coastal Environments
Hello, I’m Zech
I’m an ecologist, environmental data scientist, and educator. Currently, I’m a postdoctoral research associate studying ecological applications of machine learning in the College of Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Sciences at Oregon State University. I recently finished my PhD in integrative biology and statistics at Oregon State University. I seek to understand how ecological systems change over time and space, both naturally and in response to anthropogenic stress and disturbance. My research focuses on coastal environments, and I plan to devote my career to studying and preserving these vulnerable habitats. I also contribute to conservation efforts through collaborative work on marine protected area establishment. By pursuing fundamental and applied research projects, I hope to make discoveries that advance our understanding of the natural world and are societally relevant. Please check out my website to learn more about my work and feel free to contact me with questions or opportunities.
